6. Intellectual Property

The Service, including its design, features, and content (excluding User Content), is owned by MyToonStory and protected by intellectual property laws.

6.2 Your License

For content created through our Service:

  • Personal Use: You may use generated storybooks for personal, non-commercial purposes
  • Commercial Use: Requires a commercial license (Unlimited plan or separate agreement)
  • Restrictions: You may not resell, redistribute, or use our AI to create competing products

7. Payments and Subscriptions

7.1 Pricing

Prices for our Service are displayed on our website. We reserve the right to change prices with reasonable notice.

7.2 Subscriptions

  • Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled
  • You can cancel anytime through your account settings
  • Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period

7.3 Refunds

Digital products are generally non-refundable. For printed books, we offer refunds or reprints for quality issues. Contact support within 14 days of receiving your order.

8. Prohibited Uses

You agree not to:

  • Use the Service for any illegal purpose
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems
  • Interfere with or disrupt the Service
  • Use automated systems to access the Service without permission
  • Impersonate others or provide false information

10. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, MYTOONSTORY SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS OR REVENUES.

Our total liability for any claims under these Terms shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless MyToonStory and its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses arising from:

  • Your use of the Service
  • Your violation of these Terms
  • Your violation of any third-party rights
  • Content you upload to the Service

12. Termination

We may terminate or suspend your account at any time for violations of these Terms. Upon termination:

  • Your right to use the Service ceases immediately
  • We may delete your account and content
  • Provisions that should survive termination will remain in effect

13. Changes to Terms

We may modify these Terms at any time. We will notify users of material changes via email or prominent notice on our website. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.

14. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, United States, without regard to conflict of law principles.

15. Dispute Resolution

Any disputes arising from these Terms or the Service shall be resolved through binding arbitration, except for claims that may be brought in small claims court. You waive the right to participate in class actions.
